Dermal Fillers

ADD VOLUME BACK TO YOUR FACE

Dermal fillers focus on restoring volume to your facial area. Dermal Fillers can aid in fixing a variety of concerns relating to facial ageing.

Many methods and substances have been used to treat facial wrinkles and to conceal the effects of ageing on the face. In addition to formal surgical procedures, laser treatment, and botulinum toxin there are a large number of fillers available that can be injected as an outpatient.

Dermal fillers may be biocompatible or synthetic and are marketed alone or in combination. Biocompatible fillers have a perceived safety record and are resorbable. However, the period of benefit is of limited duration normally lasting about 6 to 12 months.

Results are immediate resulting in this procedure gaining momentum as being a viable, cost-effective alternative to invasive surgery.

A tiny needle is used to insert the product into the target area. Softer more subtle fillers achieve exquisite, natural-looking results. To minimise possible swelling or bruising, your dermal therapist may apply ice at the same time.

What Are Dermal Fillers Used For?

Dermal fillers are used primarily to restore volume to the facial area where degeneration of the facial tissue has occurred. The many other uses are filling in acne scars, to reshape facial features and to add volume to lips and cheeks. For an enhanced result, fillers can also be used in conjunction with anti wrinkle injections.
